"Let's Connect"  Sessions

Sessions can be held in your space, virtual, wherever you feel most comfortable.  Sessions can be 1:1 or with a supportive family member, friend, guardian, or chosen family.  

 

* Virtual sessions are available.

We can assist you with the following:

  • Educational resources.

  • Student rights.

  • School Support resources.

  • Referrals for medical and mental health support.

  • Assistant with identifying affirming 2SLGBTQIA+ spaces.

Health & Wellness

This is a Transgender-led non-profit organization that can assist with:
 

  • Mental Health

  • Insurance

  • Gender and Name change assistance

  • Affirming services: hair removal/Hirsutism, medical letters, voice pitch and other services.

Support Groups

Groups are held every second Tuesday of each month for parents, guardians, or chosen family supporting a trans, transgender, nonbinary, genderfluid young child or young adult.

Mental Health Counseling

Urban Restoration Counseling Center

Mission:  Our mission is to reduce intergenerational trauma by changing Black, Indigenous, People of Color  (BIPOC) communities' understanding of mental health.

Services:

  • Individual, Couples and Family Therapy

  • Parenting Classes 

  • 52 Week Court Mandated Domestic Violence Groups

  • Anxiety and Depression Groups

  • New Parent Wellness Groups

  • DEI & Anti-Racism Training topics.

  • How to be an Active Ally.

  • Gender Identity and Gender Expression.

  • Cultural Competency in Provider Care for marginalized communities.

  • Living Your Truth and other topics.

Classes can be designed for your specific need.

The San Diego Black LGBTQ Coalition is a volunteer led, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The San Diego Black LGBTQ Coalition strives to be a haven for OUR community. As your central hub for LGBTQ Black life, our primary focus is connecting you to resources, events, and outlets that support and enrich your life, and providing opportunities to strengthen the community in which we live.
